UNPRECEDENTED on Instagram

A new season ✨ I am preparing to make the move into full-time ministry… as a stay-at-home-mom to our boys (and Darla, of course 🤣)! Our family is excited and eager to see all the Lord has for us as we step forward in faith, and grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Life lately. 🤍 Ryder’s smile. Rowan’s toes. Darla’s everything. My hair. 👀 LOL! Thank you JESUS for every moment. #2023unfiltered
Breastfeeding in the middle of the Gaylord last night…🙋🏼‍♀️😆 Motherhood is vulnerable, y’all.
Remembering, reflecting, and reminding myself to not only receive nourishment from the fruit of others, but to ABIDE in the vine myself...! Here I am, just a little branch eager to be pruned, purified, and prepared to carry whatever the Lord produces. 🤗
Over the years, I have often believed I was being called into “full-time ministry.” I remember walking around a breathtaking church campus in California in 2015 after my job interview. ⛪️ I wept because I was overwhelmed by the wonderful weight of living out my faith in a vocational capacity. It was my first step of obedience in believing God could use me in ministry in spite of my flaws, failures, and fears.
And in this moment the freedom that is somehow both faraway and familiar is
Sweet friends, meet Rowan Tyler Hays — Born 9/11 at 6:19am after a peaceful labor and delivery we are continuing to praise Jesus for (pictured here a few hours after he was born)😭💙🙏🏻 Our precious boy is now almost 5 weeks old and is fitting right in with our crazy crew! Y’all, I honestly still can’t believe I am a wife and a mom… let alone a #boymom with two little guys to love and lead and learn with?!! 🤯 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” {Ephesians 3:20} ❗️BUT REALLY.

YES—the Lord is always preparing our hearts for what is to come in the “next season”… but what does that mean for me today?
“Thoughts” are not fruitful. Ruminating endlessly will likely devolve into anxiety and fear, anger and self-righteousness, or exhaustion and apathy.
I am tired--mind, body, spirit. A cup of coffee may bring momentary energy, but soon enough the exhaustion will return. This fatigue always sets in when I proudly refuse the ever-present invitation from my Jesus to RECEIVE REST:
